Carson Cross

Founder

Carson Cross brings a rare combination of professional playing experience and elite coaching credentials to his role as Program Director. A Brentwood, NH native and former Exeter High School standout, Cross went on to have a decorated career at the University of Connecticut. He earned American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year honors, was a unanimous First Team All-Conference selection, a Louisville Slugger Third Team All-American, and became only the fourth pitcher in UConn history to record 100 strikeouts in a season. The St. Louis Cardinals selected Cross in the 14th round of the 2015 MLB Draft, and he went on to play professionally for the State College Spikes.

After his playing career, he worked as a pitching instructor with the USA Training Centers and as a pitching coordinator at Northeast Baseball, before joining the Milwaukee Brewers as a development coach at their Arizona training complex. Carson is passionate about translating his professional experience into meaningful development opportunities for the next generation of players. Carson served as the Head Coach at St. Thomas Acquinas in Dover, NH from 2022-2025. Cross currently serves as the Varsity Baseball Coach at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield, Ma.

Kyle Hsu

17u Head Coach

Kyle Hsu is a lifelong New Hampshire baseball player who brings energy, dedication, and a proven competitive background to the 17U program. A Brookline, NH native who attended Hollis-Brookline High School, Hsu went on to play college baseball at Northern Essex Community College before transferring to Rivier University. In his first season at NECC, he hit .361 with a .505 on-base percentage and drove in 18 runs across 32 games. At Rivier, he earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference honors and posted a .299 batting average with 25 runs scored. A skilled infielder with a knack for getting on base, Hsu brings a grinder's mentality to the coaching box and emphasizes the fundamentals of contact, plate discipline, and defensive consistency with his players. Kyle currently serves as an Assistant Coach at Rivier University.

Noah Wachter

17u Pitching Coach

Noah Wachter is one of New Hampshire's most accomplished homegrown pitchers, and he brings that experience directly to the mound work of the 17U staff. A Concord, NH native and 2017 graduate of Concord High School, Wachter was named All-State in baseball and was part of a 2015 soccer state championship team. He went on to pitch at Plymouth State University, where he delivered dominant starts against nationally ranked opponents and ranks sixth all-time in single-season strikeouts in Plymouth State history. He later transferred to Southern New Hampshire University, where he continues his career as a graduate student. A left-handed pitcher and Environmental Science major, Wachter comes from a baseball family — his brothers Jonah and Nater have also played college baseball. Noah's deep pitching background and knowledge of arm development make him an invaluable resource for any young pitcher looking to take their game to the next level.

Jack Lacouture

16u Head Coach

Jack Lacouture brings leadership, grit, and a deep knowledge of the game behind the plate to his role as 16U Head Coach. A Dover, NH native, Lacouture was a captain and starting catcher at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, where he helped lead the Saints to back-to-back Division II State Finalist appearances in 2021 and 2022 — two of the most successful seasons in STA baseball history. Lacouture went on to play college baseball at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, where he continued his career behind the dish while studying International Business. His experience as a team captain and catcher — a position that demands leadership, game management, and communication — carries directly into his coaching style. Jack brings a competitive, detail-oriented approach to the 16U program, emphasizing defensive fundamentals, pitch-calling, and the mental side of the game.

Zach Begin

17u Pitching Coach

Zach Begin has built an impressive pitching resume across multiple college programs, and he now channels that experience into developing the next wave of arms in the 16U program. A graduate of St. John's Prep, Begin helped the Eagles reach the Massachusetts Division 1A Super 8 Championship in both his junior and senior seasons, earning Catholic Conference All-Star recognition. He went on to pitch at Saint Joseph's College of Maine, where as a sophomore he went 6-1 with 54 strikeouts and earned Third Team All-Conference honors. He later transferred to Wheaton College, where he majored in Psychology with a minor in Education. Begin's competitive pitching background across multiple programs gives him a unique perspective on pitcher development, and his ability to connect with young athletes makes him an outstanding mentor on the mound. Zach served as the Pitching Coach at The Governor’s Academy for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
